Foundation School is an open-enrolment school, accepting all pupils/Students from across Maiduguri, specifically those with interests in Science, Arts and Commercial Careers for our shared future.

In 1986, Foundation Bilingual School opened at Bolori Stores area in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.

It was registered as an examination center with the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the National Examination Council (NECO) in 1997.

It has since grown in size and population and two new campuses were established to make travel distance shorter for students that had to commute from far. We have a library for students and teachers and science lab in our school building and we have recently added a computer lab.

In June 2022, Foundation School appointed a new Coordinator for Schools with the aim to restructuring the school and lifting it to new height is aspects of academics, skills acquisition and technology. Our School website is the first of its kind in Northern Nigeria where each student has his/her unique dashboard. Parents/Guardians also have their own unique login credentials that allow them access to their children/wards academic performance, attendance and fees information in real time. 

Some of the new plans by the new School Coordinator for the 2022-2023 school year include:

• Introduction of Skills Acquisition for pupils/students.
• Reactivation of the computer Centre for students’ practicals. 

All three (3) campuses are located in the capital city of Borno State, Nigeria.

CAMPUS 1 is located at no. 6 Monguro street (Line 1) or Goni Askira Street (line 2), close to Wulari, Maiduguri.

CAMPUS 2 is located at Maiduguri International Airpot Junction, Maiduguri.

CAMPUS 3 is located beside Dogon Masallaci, Along Chad Basin Road, Maiduguri.

We recently created a Teacher of the Month Award and  Staff Member of the MonthAward. Those receiving awards are nominated by the students, parents, administrators, teachers, and staff members for excellence in their classroom and positive contributions to Foundation Bilingual School.
